This is random. My homeboy, MANNIK5000, asked me to send him an old GABBER tune. As I’ve done in the past, I’ve decided to share it with everyone.

The Scrumbleheads – Let’s Rock

It’s a rip of ELVIS PRESLEY‘s JAILHOUSE ROCK. I’ve become quite an Elvis fan in the past year, so I’m so glad Mannik reminded me of this jam. It was the first tune on my first official studio mix, MORE FOR YOUR CORE.

This is a VINYL RIP. It has never been released digitally, EXCEPT on a CD compilation called MASTERS OF HARDCORE 2, which is way out of print, but you can probably find it available for download somewhere, like on COREBAY for example. You just need to register with the site.

THE SCRUMBLEHEADS were a collaborative effort of OMAR SANTANA, DJ PASCAL, DJ GENOV and MAURICE SCHIPPERHEIJN. They released 2 killer EPs on Omar’s H2OH label in 1996 & 1997. Later, in 2003, as THE SCRUMBLEHEAD (no “S” on the end), MAURICE SCHIPPERHEIJN released a third EP called TRUE SKOOL GANGSTA. All 3 of these EPs are examples of OLDSTYLE GABBER at its finest.

MAURICE SCHIPPERHEIJN has released many tunes under many different names. You can check out a bunch of them on DISCOGS. While you’re at it, get to know some more about one of hardcore’s greatest legends, OMAR SANTANA.
