MOVIE MONDAYS: FAKE BIRTH, GRINDHOUSE GIRLS, AND A POLISH SEX CHANGE

For whatever reason, I feel like posting some content that would be described as “heavy” or “fucked up”. Hopefully, you’re the kind of person that can get down with that sort of thing, cuz it’s too late to turn back now. You need to, at least, check out this first one…

MULTIPLIER – RAGE (GOBS THE ZOMBIE REMIX)

I sampled a weird Tumblr video, for my TRAPWORK REMIX of MULTIPLIER’s RAGE (OUT ON COLUMNS OF KNOWLEDGE RECORINGS). I was in Chicago, when I heard a friend playing it in another room, and had to go ask “what the fuck are you watching???” When I started getting into the remix, I knew some audio from the clip would fit perfectly. First thing’s first. Play the tune…

Hear the girl screaming at 1:43-2:06, and again at 2:59-3:23. You’re not gonna believe what it comes from. Since it’s a Tumblr video, I can’t embed it, which totally sucks. So you’ll have to hit the link below. When you see it, you’ll say what everybody else says. “That is fucked up!”. Oh, and read the description below the video, or else you’ll just be more confused.

SKOOF – SPIDER BABY (BACK ON WAX)

My homeboy, SKOOF, likes to make music videos for his tunes, using clips from grind house flicks. The results are always a real eerie trip. For SPIDER BABY, he collected a bunch of material from old Sexploitaion films. You might feel a bit dirty after watching. Here’s hoping.

What a great guy. He’s also offered up the tune for FREE DOWNLOAD.

TRANSFERA

Now that I’ve got you primed for heavy material, here’s an art piece that will get a very different reaction based on the kind of person you are. Some will feel like this is weird, gross, or disturbing. Others will see this as beautiful. Where do I sit on the subject? Mmmm, let’s say somewhere in between the 2 extremes. It’s by Polish performance art collective, SUKA OFF, and was displayed at the 2012 VENICE INTERNATIONAL PERFORMANCE ART WEEK.

Thanx to Katee Foxhaus, Skoof, and Britney Wharton for this month’s selections. If YOU have a sweet video you wanna share with me, you go right ahead! gobsthezombie@gmail.com
