Let’s talk vital music. Below are 5 tunes that have very little in common, except that, for one reason or another, they are all important enough to be must haves in your music collection. Otherwise, I’m not quite sure what you’re doing on this blog.
ARGENTO – ZOMBIELAND
Though it’s not credited as such, this is a bootleg REMIX of ZOMBIE NATION’S KERNKRAFT 400, updated for those big festival crowds. This IS the sound of 2013, combined with a song so anthemic that it NEEDS to be updated again and again. Possibly forever!

DESIGNER DRUGS – ZOMBIES!
All of this… The blog, the radio shows, the entire zombie motif that has been the essence of my persona for the past 7 years… it might not have ever happened without this song. Designer Drugs were the first group to release a hit EDM single inspired by the Living Dead, and so many followed, after them, that I was able to base my entire identity, as a DJ, around that theme. Now that the 2013 REMIX is out, it’s about time we got the original up on here.

Not to discredit this tune in any way, but we have JT to thank for exposing the idea of filthy dance music to a demographic too mainstream for even BENNY BENASSI, or JUSTICE. It still remains to be a very unique tune, even for Timberlake, himself.

Yes, they may be a bit cheesy, but LMFAO changed the sound of modern party music. “I’ve got passion in my pants and I ain’t afraid to show it”. Words to live by!

Incorporating classic elements of SOUL music, from several different eras, the result is a truly timeless track. We’ll be shaking it like a polaroid picture to this one decades from now.
