DEAD AIR BASS 029 (ULTIMATE RAVER MIX: WEDDING EDITION) ((DECEMBER 2015))

In early October, I had the honour of travelling to Costa Rica, to DJ a wedding for 2 of the best people in the world. Juliana & James, the bride & groom, picked out all the tunes. I just took care of the mixing. The result is really a musical collaboration between 3 very passionate music lovers, with fun and dancing as the focal point. Whether he was dropping a set of Happy Hardcore as Tyco, Tropical Bass as Jacknife, or Soca as Iago, James Caldwell’s musical tastes have always centred around a core love of Island vibes. Now returning to his original stage moniker, Tyco has been gaining attention around Costa Rica for a recent series of high-energy Soca Mashups. His Ricardo Drue/Machel Montano combo works particularly well, and it’s featured below for your enjoyment. Tyco’s production skills seem to get tighter with each new endeavour, which leaves me excited to see what he’s got coming in the near future. I’ll be keeping a close eye on his SOUNDCLOUD, for sure.
